MYOG: Alpenglow Gear wants you to Make Your Own Gear!
This page documents how to personalize or recreate Alpenglow Gear products yourself.
Why MYOG?
A core tenant of ultralight philosophy is modifying your gear to meet your needs better, or even making something never-before-seen that will help you in the backcountry.
MYOG can be as minor as trimming oversized backpack straps, or as major as sewing your own fitted backpack.
Also, check out the MYOG subreddit for many more ideas.
Coming Soon:
Custom Firmware Flashing on the Alpenblow Lux: With an ST-LINK (or RPi Zero or similar) and a USB-C breakout board, you can access the microcontroller to program custom light routines, read fan speeds, and write fan speeds. Want to hum a little song? Just run the 3-phase BLDC motor driver at an audible frequency!
Print-at-Home Rigid Nozzles: Although the Alpenblow Classic & Lux both ship with four flexible TPU adapters, I'd also like to make some available for home printing using PETG or PLA.
Print-at-Home Lux Leash: The Lux Leash allows your Lux to be held against a water bottle as a light diffuser. If you've got spare TPU at home, print away!
